Ok, so now you have had your aquarium up and running for a few months. Things are going great when you start to notice something strange. There is some strange green hair like “stuff” growing on your rocks. Or maybe its red and looks slimy. So maybe your remove this “stuff” but guess what? A few days or a week later its back. What is this “stuff” you ask? It’s algae. There are hundreds of different types of algae but we are going to focus on two that seem to plague aquariums everywhere.
